Greater Noida: YEIDA selects agency for Yamuna City utility plan

YEIDA has selected an agency to prepare a ₹3 crore Service Master Plan for Yamuna City, with the work due within three months.

The plan will set out technical requirements for drainage, sewer lines, water infrastructure and other civic services across the developing urban area. The agency will survey existing pipelines, drains, manholes, pumping stations and related structures, then assess their capacity and gaps.

Officials said the exercise will factor in population growth, industrial activity, land use, water bodies and environmentally sensitive areas. It will also consider likely wastewater generation, vehicular movement, road needs, green space and development density under the Master Plan 2041.

The plan will assess water, sewerage and drainage requirements around the Noida International Airport and proposed industrial areas. YEIDA has also earmarked land near the airport for a medical hub, university township and stadium.

Additional chief executive officer Manish Meena said the selected agency would prepare and submit the plan within the three-month period.
