The actor has shared details of her 1,100-square-foot first home in Bandra, designed by Gauri Khan.
Ananya Panday’s apartment, a few floors from her parents’ Bandra residence, uses pink, beige and cream interiors alongside indoor plants and large windows. She says the home has marked a shift towards living independently and learning to be alone.
Ananya Panday’s first home in Bandra begins with a pink entrance door and a corridor of pink fluted walls. The 1,100-square-foot apartment, designed by Gauri Khan, is only a few floors from her parents’ home but gives the actor a place of her own.
The interiors pair pink accents in the corridor, bedroom and walk-in wardrobe with beige and cream living and dining spaces. The kitchen has baby-blue cabinetry and white counters, while custom furniture, mirrors, wallpapers, rugs and fluted surfaces add texture across the flat.
Large windows look over Bandra’s leafy lanes, bringing daylight into the living area and balcony. Panday said the spot by the balcony is where she can sit for hours, with the window open to the breeze and afternoon sunlight creating rainbows through the glass.
For Panday, the apartment is also a personal milestone. “I think it has become a symbol and metaphor for me actually growing up and taking responsibility,” she said. After initially wanting to keep it like a museum, she began inviting friends and family over, finding that the space felt more like home when it was used.
