Greater Noida: UP trade show pavilion offers exam-prep books

Nidhi Yadav, a PCS aspirant from Sikandrabad, came to the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show in Greater Noida looking for one publication: the *Uttar Pradesh Varshiki*. A classmate had told her it was available at the Information and Public Relations Department pavilion.

Over five days, the pavilion displayed books on Indian history, culture, political science, *Emerging India*, *Emerging Uttar Pradesh* and competitive-examination preparation. Visitors read at the stall and noted publishers’ details for books they wanted to find later.

The Uttar Pradesh annual book was among the titles sought by exam aspirants. Other books on display included *Banaras Tere Rang Hazaar*, *Yogi Ka Ram Rajya*, *Lok Aradhana Ki Abhivyakti*, *Teerthnama Ayodhya*, *New UP for a New India* and *Viksit UP Viksit Bharat*.

A selfie zone used digital backdrops of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Namo Ghat in Varanasi, Prem Mandir in Vrindavan and Sarnath. An electronic globe presenting the themes of *Emerging India* and *Emerging Uttar Pradesh* also attracted visitors, with some waiting nearly half an hour for a turn. The department gave visitors gifts after their photographs.
