Delhi’s final EWS school draw allots entry-level seats to 4,144 children

Delhi’s final computerised school-admission draw has allotted entry-level seats to 4,144 children under the EWS, Disadvantaged Group (DG) and Children with Special Needs (CWSN) categories for 2026–27.

Class I accounts for 2,248 allotments, followed by Nursery with 1,309 and KG with 587. Of the total, 4,125 seats went to EWS and DG applicants, while 19 were allotted to CWSN candidates. Class I includes 15 CWSN allotments; Nursery has three and KG one.

The Directorate of Education has released separate allotment lists for Nursery, KG and Class I. Each list carries the child’s registration number and name, alongside the allotted school’s ID and name. Parents and guardians can search using the registration details submitted with the application.

Families allotted a school must now complete admission formalities and have eligibility documents verified, the next stage in the entry-level admissions process. Parents have been advised to retain a copy of the allotment result for the process.
