Bandra Fair opens September 13 around Mount Mary Basilica

Bandra Fair returns to the lanes around Mount Mary Basilica on Sunday, September 13, bringing eight days of prayer, sweets, candles and carnival rides to Bandra West.

The fair runs until September 20. Mount Mary Basilica on Mount Mary Road will host devotional services and special feast masses, while nearby stalls will sell Goan sweets, roasted chana, kadio bodio and candles. Mount Carmel Church on Chapel Road will have carnival-style attractions, including a giant wheel.

Visitors can take a western local to Bandra station, exit on the west side and travel towards Hill Road by auto or extra BEST buses running from Bandra station.

Mount Mary Road will be closed to most vehicles, along with St John Baptista Road, from 6 am to 11 pm. Street parking near the venue will not be available. Visitors may want to wear walking shoes and carry an umbrella for the uphill lanes and September showers.
