Blue Energy Motors and HPCL have opened a Vadape station for heavy electric-truck battery swaps and charging of other electric vehicles.
Blue Energy Motors and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have opened a battery-swapping station for heavy-duty electric trucks at Vadape in Bhiwandi taluka.
The companies said a heavy electric truck can replace a depleted battery with a charged one at the facility in under five minutes. They described it as Bhiwandi’s first battery-swapping station for heavy-duty electric trucks.
The facility also offers charging for other electric vehicles, including two-wheelers, cars and commercial vehicles.
For freight operators moving goods through Bhiwandi’s warehousing belt, battery swapping is intended to reduce charging-related downtime. The companies said the station will support the Mumbai–Pune electric freight corridor, which Blue Energy Motors launched in October 2025.
Blue Energy Motors and HPCL announced their infrastructure partnership in January 2026 and plan to add swapping and charging facilities in other key markets.
