Volunteers planted saplings and collected litter at parks in Koramangala and Basavanagudi despite rain delaying Sunday’s activities.

Overnight rain delayed Sunday’s park activities, but volunteers gathered at Triangle Park in Koramangala and Bugle Rock Park in Basavanagudi.

At Triangle Park in Koramangala’s 4th Block, Adamya Chetana Foundation led a plantation and plogging activity. Indian Ploggers Army conducted litter collection and waste segregation at Bugle Rock Park.

The activities were part of #IamBengaluru – Volunteer for Parks, presented by Multigen in association with Kristu Jayanti University and supported by the Greater Bengaluru Authority.

Plog Raja of Indian Ploggers Army said volunteers, including students, travelled from different parts of Bengaluru despite the rain. “It speaks about the commitment of our volunteers,” he said.

Abhijith Nayar, a software professional from AECS Layout, joined the Triangle Park activity after a friend invited him. He said parks offer residents space to “get fresh air, unwind and reconnect with friends and family.”
