Delhi Metro’s Sarthi app has crossed 10 million downloads and is opened 8.2 lakh times each weekday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.
The app provides Metro maps, first and last train timings, station and parking information, route guidance, EV charging and battery-swapping locations. It also offers a virtual Metro card facility.
DMRC said Sarthi also brings together information or services for DTC buses, IRCTC train bookings, interstate buses, NCRTC’s Namo Bharat service and NMRC’s Noida Metro. Users can access mobile and FASTag recharges, medicine ordering and utility payments through the platform.
Anuj Dayal, DMRC’s principal executive director for corporate communications, said the app is intended to reduce the need to switch between platforms while planning a journey. DMRC is encouraging Delhi-NCR residents to use Metro travel more often during winter as part of the Delhi government’s air-pollution mitigation plan.
