Rekha Gupta joins cleanliness drive at Delhi’s Kamla Nehru Ridge

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined students, teachers and residents for a cleanliness drive at Kamla Nehru Ridge on Thursday.

The drive was held as part of the nationwide Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath campaign. Gupta said keeping Delhi clean required regular participation from residents as well as the administration.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined students, teachers and residents at Kamla Nehru Ridge on Thursday for a cleanliness drive held under the Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath campaign.

Addressing participants, Gupta said cleanliness could not be limited to a one-day activity. “Cleanliness is not a one-day campaign, but a regular habit and a collective responsibility,” she said.

She asked people to consider how littering on roads and in public spaces affects others and the environment. One hour of shramdaan, she said, would matter only if it led to a year-round habit of keeping shared spaces clean.

Gupta said both the administration and residents had roles in making Delhi’s cleaning system work effectively.
