Greater Noida Authority invites bids for 22 public toilets

The Greater Noida Authority has invited bids to build, operate and maintain 22 public toilets for 15 years, including at Jagat Farm and the GNOIT bus stand.

Greater Noida Authority has invited bids for 22 public toilets, with disability access and 16-hour daily cleaning required for 15 years.

Jagat Farm market, the GNOIT bus stand and Labour Chowk are among 22 Greater Noida locations earmarked for new public toilets.

The Greater Noida Authority has issued a tender for the facilities, which will be built, operated and maintained by a selected concessionaire for 15 years under a Build-Operate-Transfer model. The authority will provide about 40-50 square metres of land for each toilet.

Other proposed sites include Mandi Shyam Nagar, Cherry County, near Yatharth Hospital, the Surajpur entry point, Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium, AVJ Heights, KCC College, the district court and Kendriya Vidyalaya.

The facilities are to include provisions for persons with disabilities. The operator will be responsible for water, electricity, drainage, waste disposal and regular upkeep, with at least one cleaning worker on every eight-hour shift. Cleaning services must run for 16 hours daily, including public holidays.

The concessionaire can install about 200 square feet of rooftop advertising panels to generate revenue; five per cent of that space must carry social messages. Bids close on November 13.
