Delhi-NCR weather: Light rain, drizzle forecast until August 17

Cloudy skies and intermittent rain slowed traffic in parts of Delhi-NCR, with the IMD forecasting light rain or drizzle across the region until August 17.

For Wednesday, the weather office expects generally cloudy conditions, with a minimum temperature of about 25°C and a maximum near 35°C. Residents travelling by road may want to allow extra time during showers; rain has already caused traffic disruption in parts of the region, as seen in Tuesday’s waterlogging and traffic disruption.

Delhi’s air quality index stood at 78 at 4 pm, placing it in the satisfactory category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. The city recorded satisfactory air quality from August 1 to August 11.

The IMD has also corrected Delhi’s cumulative August rainfall through August 10 to 197.2 mm, after an earlier figure of 230.5 mm. The revised rainfall total remains the current official count.
