Mahapanchayat backs Gurgaon road-collision accused; biker calls it an attempt to shift the narrative

Shivani Chauhan, known as Sia, has objected to a mahapanchayat backing Kalyan Singh Bainsla, who is in custody in connection with the alleged Golf Course Road collision involving her motorcycle.

Chauhan said the gathering was an attempt to change the narrative around the case. “This is not about community or gender,” she said, describing it instead as a serious issue of road safety.

Bainsla is accused of chasing Chauhan and ramming her motorcycle on Golf Course Road. Gurgaon police are investigating the matter. Police had earlier added an attempted murder charge in the case, as reported in GTK’s earlier coverage.

The mahapanchayat’s support for Bainsla has brought a new public dimension to an investigation that began with a collision on one of Gurgaon’s busiest roads. Chauhan has also previously rejected claims circulating online about the case, detailed in this earlier report.

The police investigation is continuing while Bainsla remains in custody.
