Axis Bank and Lakshya Shooting Club have inaugurated a para-inclusive shooting training centre in Navi Mumbai’s CBD Belapur.
The six-storey Axis Bank Lakshya Shooting Club High Performance Centre brings 10-metre ranges, athlete support services and residential facilities under one roof. It is designed primarily for elite shooters preparing for international competition, with separate pathways for resident, day-scholar and development athletes.
Two dedicated 10-metre shooting ranges are part of the new Axis Bank Lakshya Shooting Club High Performance Centre in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.
Axis Bank and Lakshya Shooting Club inaugurated the six-storey centre on October 21. The facility includes strength and conditioning spaces, biomechanics assessment, physiotherapy, sports psychology, nutrition support, recovery spaces and residential accommodation.
Lakshya said the centre is fully para-inclusive and will primarily serve elite athletes preparing for international competition. Its programmes are organised into Elite Residency, Day Scholar and Development tracks for shooters at different stages of training.
Olympian and former national shooting coach Suma Shirur founded Lakshya Shooting Club in 2006. The club said its wider network of centres will continue to identify and train emerging shooters, while the Belapur facility will focus on high-performance preparation.
Lakshya said the building is green-certified and was developed to meet energy- and resource-efficiency standards. Shooters will be able to access the centre through its residency, day-scholar and development programmes.
