The Noida Authority has directed departments to complete road resurfacing by October 31 and prepare dust-control, sanitation and traffic measures for winter.
Noida has prioritised repairs near the Banghel elevated road and directed plans for sprinklers, AQI displays and more waste-collection vehicles in villages.
Noida Authority has set an October 31 deadline to complete road resurfacing across the city, prioritising roads, drains and culverts beneath the Banghel elevated road.
Chief executive officer Krishna Karunesh said the work is intended to reduce road dust before pollution-control restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan take effect. Departments have also been directed to arrange rooftop sprinklers at buildings and display air-quality readings at locations across Noida.
The authority plans to deploy additional garbage-collection vehicles in villages and convert 70% of its waste-collection fleet to electric vehicles, with the remaining 30% running on CNG. Officials have been asked to inspect sanitation arrangements regularly, conduct cleanliness drives in markets and other public spaces, and remove unauthorised vendors from public areas.
The authority is also preparing a traffic plan for the terminal point of the elevated road under construction from the Chilla border towards Mahamaya flyover. The proposed Chilla–Yamuna Pushta elevated road has received technical and administrative approvals, and tenders are expected within one to two weeks.
