Bengaluru luxury label Advaya has launched Eternal Series II, featuring paisley on Kanjeevaram saris, embroidered blouses and menswear.
Bengaluru label Advaya’s Eternal Series II reworks paisley through Kanjeevaram brocades, jacquards, zardosi, embroidery and pearl work.
At Advaya’s Design Lab in Bengaluru, founder and creative director KH Radharaman has developed a paisley-led collection spanning Kanjeevaram saris, hand-embroidered blouses, achkans and bandhgalas.
Eternal Series II is the second chapter of Advaya’s Eternal Series, which first explored chintz six years ago. The collection uses paisley brocades on Kanjeevarams alongside woven jacquards, zardosi, placement embroidery and pearl work. Its palette includes off-white, bottle green, cardamom, carbon black and dual-toned orange.
Radharaman said each series is developed in-house, beginning with yarn, which extends the time between launches. The design team studies the fabric, motifs and visual language before deciding whether to interpret a craft through print, weave or embroidery.
The collection also continues Advaya’s menswear work, which began in 2022. Radharaman said the label aims to use the same paisley language across a South Indian weave, a blouse, a shawl and men’s garments, rather than confining textiles to regional associations.
The campaign for Eternal Series II was photographed in Kochi’s backwaters.
