Organised by Bengaluru-based media company Bollywood Crypt, the programme includes filmmaker Prosit Roy, Vishal Furia, writer-director Yogesh Chandekar, and film historian and author Tim Paxton. Furia’s 2017 Marathi film *Lapachhapi* is among the feature screenings, while Roy will present a mystery feature.
Paxton will introduce the folk-horror genre, and Chandekar has curated a set of folk-horror shorts. The schedule includes more than 10 short films, with works by Portuguese animator Jeronimo Rocha, Mumbai filmmaker Ashim Aluwalia, Turkish director Can Evrenol and South African director Richard Stanley.
Bollywood Crypt founder Sandesh Shenoy said conversations around Konkani folklore and the folk traditions reflected in films such as *Lapachhapi* informed the theme. He described this as the largest edition of the Halloween series yet.
