Haryana colleges asked to join National Digital Library platform

Government-aided colleges in Haryana, including Gurgaon, have been asked to complete institutional registration with the National Digital Library of India.

The higher education department is seeking to expand students’ access to digital study material, research publications, question papers and competitive-exam resources. Colleges must set up an NDLI Club as part of registration, with activities such as webinars, quizzes and exam-preparation sessions.

The Haryana higher education department has asked government-aided colleges, including those in Gurgaon, to register with the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) if they have not already done so.

NDLI offers undergraduate and postgraduate study material, research publications, question papers, and resources for entrance and competitive examinations, including JEE, NEET, CUET, GATE, UGC-NET, SSC and banking tests. The platform brings degree-course material and exam-preparation resources together in one place.

The digital library is intended to supplement, rather than replace, college libraries. It also includes subject-specific resources for postgraduate students and researchers.

Colleges registering with NDLI must establish an NDLI Club to involve students. These clubs can hold expert lectures, webinars, quizzes, debates and exam-preparation activities. Institutions can receive an NDLI registration certificate after enrolling students and completing the required activities, while participating students can receive certificates for their involvement.

The department has asked institutions that have not registered to complete the membership process at the earliest.
