Gurugram’s civic body reviewed complaints about sanitation, roads, pollution and service-level agreement violations across its six zones.
MCG reviewed 215 complaints across Gurugram’s six zones. Zone 6 recorded 89 cases and Zone 4 had 67; two cases drew fines of ₹10,000 each.
Zone 6 accounted for 89 of the 215 complaints reviewed by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), while Zone 4 recorded 67.
MCG commissioner Pradeep Dahiya led the review under the civic body’s 24-hour challenge initiative. It covered complaints filed over the previous week on sanitation, roads, pollution and service-level agreement (SLA) violations.
MCG imposed a ₹10,000 fine in one case each in Zones 1 and 3. It also issued two notices in Zone 1, 11 in Zone 3 and 13 in Zone 4.
Zone 1 recorded 24 complaints, Zone 2 had two, Zone 3 had 16 and Zone 5 had 17. MCG identified Palam Vihar, Sectors 23, 45, 56 and 57, Sushant Lok-I and Ardee City as areas with sanitation and waste-management problems.
Under MCG’s SOP, cluster heads will examine SLA complaints before notices are sent to the officials concerned. They must respond within three days; MCG may impose fines, suspend officials or withhold salaries until a complaint is resolved.
