KBC 18: Rajkummar Rao recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s Delhi journey

Rajkummar Rao recalled standing outside Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai home, Mannat, after arriving in the city for a show for which he was not selected.

On *Kaun Banega Crorepati* Season 18, Rao told Amitabh Bachchan that he had been inspired by Khan’s journey from Delhi theatre and television to becoming a leading Hindi-film actor. Bachchan noted that Rao and Khan share a Delhi connection, while Rao said he had decided early in life that he wanted to act.

Bachchan, who has worked with Khan in films including *Mohabbatein* and *Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham*, described him as someone who does not accept defeat when facing a problem and whose words can build another person’s confidence.

Rao appeared on the quiz show alongside his *Prahaar* co-star Wamiqa Gabbi and public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, whose life the forthcoming film depicts.
