Muddenahalli youth orchestra Sai Symphony performs in Vienna

Pianist Jeevan Sai performed Mozart’s *Turkish March* with Sai Symphony at a One World One Family fundraiser attended by former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar.

The orchestra has more than 150 students enrolled in the organisation’s free schools in Muddenahalli, on Bengaluru’s outskirts. Its fundraiser programme included patriotic songs, film music and Western classical works, conducted by Harikesh.

Sai Symphony was founded in 2014 and developed from a brass band in 2015 into a full orchestra in 2020, with strings, brass, wind instruments and percussion. Greek-American musician and educator Dimitris Lambrianos has trained the students.

The organisation said 24 Sai Symphony musicians performed at Vienna’s Hofburg Palace in June. It also said the group received a Guinness World Records entry in 2025 for a choral symphony involving 450 musicians from 65 nationalities.
