Delhi University opens 2026–27 fee-support applications; deadline October 13

Delhi University students seeking help with education costs have until October 13 to apply for the university’s 2026–27 Financial Support Scheme.

The Dean of Students’ Welfare runs the scheme for full-time, bona fide undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in DU departments, institutes and centres. Students with an annual family income of up to Rs 4 lakh fall under Category I and may receive a 100% fee waiver, capped at Rs 15,000. Category II covers students with an annual family income of up to Rs 8 lakh and offers a 50% waiver capped at Rs 10,000.

Students enrolled in colleges, B.Tech programmes, five-year integrated law programmes, the School of Open Learning and the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board are not eligible. Students with an Essential Repeat in a previous examination are also excluded.

Applicants must submit an EWS/OBC-NCL certificate or a family-income certificate for 2025–26, along with records including a bona fide certificate, latest fee receipt and bank-passbook details. DU will publish the schedule for offline submission of printed forms and supporting documents on the DSW website.
