Delhi: Three sent to judicial custody in Aastha Kunj Park alleged gangrape case
Delhi Police say they have recorded statements from 12 witnesses while investigating the alleged gangrape of a 17-year-old girl near Kalkaji.
Three men arrested in the case were produced before a court and sent to 14 days’ judicial custody. Investigators are matching witness accounts with call-detail records and CCTV footage from around Aastha Kunj Park.
Three men arrested in connection with the alleged gangrape of a 17-year-old girl at Aastha Kunj Park near Kalkaji have been sent to 14 days' judicial custody.
The three were produced before Judicial Magistrate Deepika Thakran, who remanded them to judicial custody.
Delhi Police said they have recorded statements from 12 witnesses, including park guards, people linked to a nearby gas godown and local residents. Investigators are checking the accounts against call-detail records and CCTV footage from areas around the park.
Police said one of the men denied being at the park. Officers are examining witness accounts and phone-location records as part of the investigation.
