
Delhi is set for dry, mid-30s weather on Monday before a western disturbance brings likely rain between October 6 and 8.

Safdarjung recorded a minimum of 23.8°C on Monday morning, 1.5 degrees above normal, as Delhi began the week warm and dry. The Ridge was cooler at 20°C, while Palam and Ayanagar logged 22.6°C and 22.2°C respectively.
Sunday’s maximum at Safdarjung reached 36.4°C, 2.2 degrees above normal, and the main weather stations recorded no rain. The IMD expects mainly clear skies on Monday, with daytime temperatures staying in the mid-30s.
A western disturbance is expected to change conditions from Tuesday. The IMD has forecast isolated to scattered rainfall over Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh from October 6 to 8, with broader rain coverage expected on October 7. Another western disturbance could bring more rain on October 9 and 10.
Delhi’s AQI was 178 at 9.05am on Monday, in the moderate category. The 24-hour average stood at 187 on Sunday, after readings of 166, 174 and 171 between October 1 and 3.
