Delhi designer Shweta Kapur opens Apartment-88 for 431-88

Shweta Kapur’s Delhi home is the first setting for Apartment-88, a new 431-88 project that brings the label’s clothes into rooms filled with objects from her everyday life.

The presentation accompanies 431-88’s F/W ’26 collection, *Biophilia*. Rather than refit the house as a conventional retail space, Kapur has kept parts of it unchanged, placing fashion alongside art, design, books, materials and other domestic objects.

Kapur describes Apartment-88 as a physical expression of the wider world around the label rather than a standalone clothing display. She said she wanted visitors to move through a home and discover garments and objects gradually.

The Delhi edition is Kapur’s first home-based fashion experiment. She plans to explore Apartment-88 as a travelling format that can take different forms in other locations.
