Diwali decor in Khan Market and Lajpat Nagar includes torans, ready-made rangolis and table showpieces. A Lajpat Nagar shop employee said reusable pieces are drawing demand.
A battery-operated rotating diya stand priced at ₹3,000 is among the higher-priced Diwali decor items available in Delhi’s Khan Market and Lajpat Nagar. At the other end, a pair of elephant hangings is listed at ₹300.
The selection includes Lakshmi-Ganesha hangings with beadwork and pearl strings for ₹400, ready-made rangoli platters with tea-light holders for ₹850, and a crystal-encrusted metal tortoise showpiece for ₹1,300. Shoppers can also find jute lanterns at ₹800, silk-thread diamond-frame hangings at ₹250 each, and evil-eye wall hangings at ₹500.
Epshita, a Delhi-based entrepreneur, said she and her mother had set out to look for traditional decor for their entrance. They also picked up bells for a temple and colourful pieces for the rest of their home.
A staff member at Kriti Creations in Lajpat Nagar said customers are choosing rotating diya stands, rangoli trays and metal centrepieces over decor intended for a single use. Traditional torans and hangings remain available.
