Ghaziabad-set Bakaiti Season 2 puts Kataria siblings in one room

The Kataria siblings must share a room after financial pressure reshapes their household in old Ghaziabad in *Bakaiti* Season 2, now streaming on ZEE5.

Director Samar Iqbal said he did not want to disturb the rhythm established by the cast: Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Tanya Sharma and Aaditya Shukla. “Real families don’t wait for their cue,” he said, describing the interruptions, arguments and small irrelevancies in the show’s domestic scenes.

The new season centres on money worries, parenting, ego, expectations and tensions between generations. Iqbal said humour is central to the approach: the family’s problems are real, but its members respond through jokes and messy exchanges rather than silence.

Iqbal said the season expands the show’s locations and conflicts while exploring each character’s relationships and insecurities more closely.
