MCG has directed senior officers to inspect garbage-prone locations in Gurgaon daily, focusing on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway and Sector 29.
MCG Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya has directed additional commissioners and joint commissioners to inspect garbage-prone locations across Gurgaon from 10am to noon each day.
The inspections will focus on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway, Sector 29 and surrounding areas. Officers have been asked to check waste lifting and sanitation work, ensure cleared locations do not become dumping points again, and arrange immediate removal of garbage and debris where needed.
MCG said officers must keep these stretches free of construction and demolition debris, horticulture waste and other garbage. The civic body will also apply lime at cleared dumping points and monitor them regularly.
On Monday, additional commissioners Ankita Chaudhary and Ravinder Yadav, along with joint commissioners Jaivir Yadav and Kushal Kataria, inspected sanitation arrangements in different parts of the city. The direction follows MCG’s earlier deployment of ward-level sanitation monitors.
Dahiya said cleaning an area was not enough unless it remained clean. Officers have also been asked to work with councillors, ward committee members and resident welfare associations to identify and address local sanitation issues on the spot.
