GMDA tenders Rs 7.2 crore service roads in Gurgaon’s Sectors 99 and 102

GMDA tenders Rs 7.2 crore service roads in Gurgaon’s Sectors 99 and 102

The proposed links beside the Sectors 99-102 dividing road are intended to separate local traffic from the main carriageway and improve access to nearby housing societies.

GMDA has tendered 1.74 km of service roads beside the Sectors 99-102 dividing road, including drains, lights and safety furniture.

GMDA has floated a tender for service roads alongside the Sectors 99-102 dividing road, used by residents travelling towards the Dwarka Expressway and Upper Dwarka Expressway.

About 1.1 km of service road is planned on the right-hand side of the existing road and 644 metres on the left. The Rs 7.2 crore project is expected to take about 10 months and includes a footpath-cum-surface drain, streetlights and road-safety furniture. GMDA said it will use available land along the road and has not identified a land-related obstacle.

The corridor serves societies including Heritage Max, Suncity Avenue, G-99 and Emaar Gurgaon Green. PN Mishra, general secretary of Suncity Avenue’s RWA, said residents have faced potholes, dust, missing streetlights and poor drainage. He said the 75-metre road outside the society has not been comprehensively recarpeted since residents moved in during 2019.

GMDA has also prepared a revised Rs 17 crore proposal to strengthen and upgrade the main carriageway. It awaits administrative approval before GMDA can float a tender for that work.
