Barapullah Phase 3 traffic diverted via NH-24 and DND

Delhi Traffic Police has diverted vehicles from the congested Barapullah Phase 3 stretch towards NH-24 and DND as queues build near Barapullah Junction.

Delhi Traffic Police has diverted Barapullah Phase 3 traffic via NH-24 and DND as vehicles queue at Barapullah Junction near Ring Road.

Vehicles travelling from Barapullah Phase 3 towards Barapullah and Ring Road are being diverted via NH-24 and DND after congestion built up at Barapullah Junction.

Delhi Traffic Police said the newly opened corridor has seen heavy, slow-moving traffic, particularly during peak hours. Police said Google Maps was not reflecting congestion on the route accurately, so commuters continued to be directed towards the crowded stretch.

The bottleneck forms where traffic from the new corridor merges with the existing Barapullah network. Police described the old Barapullah flyover as a structural constraint, with queues extending for a considerable distance.

Commuters heading towards Barapullah or Ring Road have been advised to avoid the affected stretch and use the NH-24 or DND routes. Traffic personnel are deployed at the junction to regulate movement.
