Mumbai to host Kia Tennis Premier League Season 8 auction on October 12

The Kia Tennis Premier League will hold its Season 8 player auction at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai before matches begin in Hyderabad on December 8.

The 24-year-old French player has reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 41. He is among eight marquee players announced before the auction, where Mumbai Royals and seven other franchises will complete their squads.

Rohan Bopanna, a former World No. 1 in men’s doubles, will represent Gurgaon Grand Slammers. Argentina’s Roman Burruchaga joins Kolkata Thunder Blades, while Australian Rinky Hijikata has been named for Rajasthan Rangers. The other marquee players are Dalibor Svrcina for Lucknow Blazers, Dino Prizmic for Hyderabad Strikers, Adam Walton for GS Delhi Aces and Alexandre Muller for Gujarat Panthers.

The league will be played at LB Tennis Stadium in Hyderabad from December 8 to 13. Matches are scheduled from 4.30pm and will stream on JioHotstar. The team format includes men’s and women’s singles, men’s doubles and mixed doubles, with each match played to 25 points.
