At a Mumbai event, Vidyut Jammwal describes the discipline of Hollywood sets

The actor, who plays Dhalsim in the forthcoming action film Street Fighter, said the international production’s punctuality and overtime rules stood out to him.

Vidyut Jammwal spoke in Mumbai about working on Street Fighter, his first Hollywood film. He said a 300-person set operated with strict timekeeping and that technicians were paid for every minute of overtime.

Vidyut Jammwal, introducing his role as Dhalsim in *Street Fighter* at a Mumbai event, said the scale of a Hollywood set was matched by its discipline.

“For the first time, I have seen 300 people on a set following such discipline,” he said, naming actors including Jason Momoa, Cody Rhodes and Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson as people who were never late. He added that if someone was delayed by even a minute, the production would check whether they were well.

Jammwal also pointed to overtime pay as a key difference. Every technician, he said, received extra money for each minute worked beyond schedule. “Technicians wait to do overtime because they don't think they will be betrayed,” he said.

The actor said he has trained in Kalaripayattu since the age of three, and that the martial-art background helped him connect with Dhalsim. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, *Street Fighter* also stars Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Momoa and Callina Liang. It is due in Indian theatres on October 16 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
