
Organisers expect more than 45,000 runners at the 13th Wipro Bengaluru Marathon, with routes passing Vidhana Soudha, Cubbon Park and Ulsoor Lake.
The Wipro Bengaluru Marathon starts at Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday, September 27, with races from the full marathon to the 5K.
More than 45,000 runners, including 25 elite athletes from across India, are expected at the 13th Wipro Bengaluru Marathon on Sunday, September 27.
Organisers have scheduled the full marathon to start from Sree Kanteerava Stadium at 3.50am. The half marathon will begin at 6am, followed by the 10K at 7.30am and the 5K at 8.15am. Runners with disabilities, including visually impaired runners, will have a separate flag-off at 8.20am.
The full-marathon and half-marathon routes will pass Vidhana Soudha and Cubbon Park. Ulsoor Lake has been added to this year's routes.
Wipro global chief marketing officer Ranjita Ghosh is scheduled to flag off the full marathon, while actor Mandira Bedi will start the half marathon. Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, BDA chairman and MLA N.A. Harris, and MP Tejasvi Surya are scheduled to flag off the 10K.
NEB Sports is organising the event with the Karnataka Athletics Association, Wipro and Shriram Properties.
