Delhi High Court orders removal of AI-generated protest image
The Delhi High Court has directed the immediate removal of a morphed image showing a woman alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, allegedly used at a CJP protest at Jantar Mantar.
The court also asked Delhi Police to submit, within a week, an action-taken report on a complaint against leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party. The complaint concerns the alleged use of the AI-generated image during the Jantar Mantar protest.
The Delhi High Court has ordered the immediate removal of a morphed image that showed a woman alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was allegedly used during a Cockroach Janta Party protest at Jantar Mantar.
The court directed Delhi Police to file an action-taken report within a week on a complaint against CJP leaders over the image, which was described as AI-generated. The complaint concerns its alleged use at the protest site in central Delhi.
The direction follows earlier policing around the group’s planned public demonstrations in the city, including a planned India Gate march for which police said permission had not been sought.
Delhi Police must now report to the court on the steps taken on the complaint within a week.
