Delhi Ramlila committees plan LED staging and Tulsi drive for October

The Lav Kush Ramlila Committee plans to distribute Tulsi saplings to 5,100 young people at Red Fort Grounds through its ‘Ghar-Ghar Ram, Ghar-Ghar Tulsi’ campaign.

Its Ramlila is scheduled from October 11 to 21 and will use a digital production format, feature around 40 Bollywood actors and be telecast live. The committee also plans an image of Lord Ram made with one lakh diyas on Dussehra.

At Madhavdas Park, the 103-year-old Shri Dharmik Leela Committee is preparing updated staging alongside its traditional Ram Katha. Committee spokesperson Ravi Jain said the aim is to introduce younger audiences to Lord Ram’s life and character while retaining the production’s cultural core.

Janakpuri’s Shri Ram Lila Committee plans LED screens, large sets and a mapped sound system for nearly 150 performers selected through annual auditions. At IP Extension, teachers from several schools are expected to join the cast.

In Dwarka Sector 10, the Dwarka Shri Ramlila Society plans a 221-foot Ravan effigy for its 15th edition, along with crowd-safety, lighting and sound arrangements.
