Higher Ground Music Festival moves to Prism by Octavium this weekend

Meg The Miracles opens the second Higher Ground Music Festival on September 25 at Prism by Octavium, a new venue off Bannerghatta Road that also houses Octavium Music Academy.

The three-day festival had initially been planned around Koramangala’s Fandom, whose closure led founders Vishwas Karanth and Avishek Dasgupta to change venues rather than skip a year. The first edition was held in October 2025.

Meg The Miracles will be joined on the opening day by The Lucidwake and The Sandcats. Singer-songwriter Suraj Mani, known for Motherjane, headlines the final day alongside Dhuan and Blue Atom Sky. Mani said he may include the title track from Motherjane’s new album, *Dobareh*, in his solo acoustic set.

The Lucidwake plan to perform five new songs from their forthcoming seven-track album, *I Kissed the Abyss*, along with selections from their debut, *Whiteout*.

Between the main performances, the Breakthrough Stage will feature Mars Mansion Mystery, Kashmira, Two Eyed Wizard, Steel Falcon, Space Hydra, Radiostellar and Nepali rock band Same As Them. Organisers said they received more than 50 applications and chose five acts for the stage.
