BrahMos replica, drones draw visitors at Greater Noida trade show

A replica of the BrahMos missile is drawing young visitors to the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor pavilion at the UP International Trade Show in Greater Noida. Experts at the pavilion are answering visitors' questions on defence technology.

The display includes missile models, bulletproof jackets, helmets, protective vests and drone systems from government, private and semi-government exhibitors. Kanpur-based Capital Airgun Company has brought equipment related to 9 mm, .32 bore, .30 bore, .45 bore and 12 bore weapon systems, along with protective gear.

IG Drones, which operates from Jhansi and Noida, is exhibiting its Kaal drone. The company describes it as an indigenous long-range one-way attack drone with a range of up to 1,000 km and a payload capacity of up to 50 kg. It said it tested the drone at Rajasthan's Pokhran Field Firing Range on September 21.

Maral Aerospace is displaying Tejaswan, a solar-powered drone developed with support from IIT Kanpur. Exhibition details list a payload capacity of up to 5 kg and a range of up to 300 km. Other exhibitors at the pavilion have brought drones, security equipment and defence technology.
