CBSE’s two-day New Delhi summit brings educators, industry representatives and policymakers together to discuss skill-based learning and career guidance in schools.

CBSE’s fourth school-to-work summit in New Delhi covers digital safety, skill credits and career guidance for students.

CBSE’s two-day National Summit on “Facilitating School-to-Work Transition” is under way in New Delhi, bringing together school leaders, teachers, industry experts and policymakers to discuss links between classroom learning and future work.

The October 26-27 event, organised with the Sahodaya School Complexes of Delhi/NCR, is the fourth such summit. Department of School Education and Literacy Secretary T. K. Anil Kumar and CBSE Chairman Mandeep Bhandari attended alongside other senior officials.

Anil Kumar identified four priorities: technology and digital safety; design and creativity; recognition of skills through the National Credit Framework; and career guidance that exposes students to different pathways. He also called for closer links between schools, higher education, skill training and employment.

Teachers from CBSE-affiliated schools are presenting case studies and posters on initiatives at their institutions. Sessions cover teaching methods, assessment, digital tools and skill education, with discussions drawing on NEP 2020’s focus on connecting academic and vocational education.
