Rashmeet Kaur performs through drizzle at JLN Stadium’s Lil Flea

Rashmeet Kaur turned a brief spell of rain at the Lil Flea on Saturday night into a bhangra singalong, before an unplugged finish near 10pm.

Delhi-raised singer Rashmeet Kaur performed originals and Punjabi covers at JLN Stadium. When her mic was switched off near 10pm, the crowd sang “Jogi Naal”.

Rashmeet Kaur was midway through “Jugni Ji” at JLN Stadium on Saturday night when rain began and some people moved away from the Lil Flea stage. “Rain dance hoga aaj,” she told the crowd, then continued with “Dhol Jageeron Da” and a call for bhangra.

The Delhi-raised singer mixed her own work with Punjabi covers, including Rabbi Shergill’s “Tere Bin”, and spoke about returning to perform in the city where she grew up. Around the venue, visitors browsed jewellery, home decor and sustainable clothing stalls, while food counters served quick bites, specialty coffee and matcha.

Kaur introduced her latest album, *Parinda*, as a journey from falling in love with someone to “falling back in love with myself”.

Near 10pm, her microphone was switched off. Kaur asked for two more minutes to sing an unplugged version of “Jogi Naal”; when the microphone was cut again, audience members continued the song with her.
