Rohini logged 83.4% voter verification as Delhi’s SIR enumeration closed

Rohini recorded 83.4% voter verification in Delhi’s SIR enumeration, while Tughlakabad stood at 52.1%, showing a wide gap in how constituencies responded to the exercise.

Shakur Basti logged 81%, Mangolpuri 78% and Uttam Nagar 77.7%; Narela, Bawana and Madipur each crossed 76%. Seelampur recorded 76.6%, followed by Matia Mahal at 75.5%, Babarpur at 72.9% and Mustafabad at 71.9%. Poll officials said local awareness efforts, including residents helping others with submissions, contributed to higher participation in some areas.

At the lower end, R K Puram recorded 44.5% and Kasturba Nagar 44%. Kalkaji was at 57.2%, Badarpur 57.3%, New Delhi 58.2% and Jangpura 58.4%. Officials cited migration and lower engagement in some neighbourhoods; Okhla, at 54.6%, was also linked to higher migration.

Of Delhi’s 1.45 crore registered voters, 97.5 lakh submitted details by August 17. The draft roll is due on August 24, when people left out of it can begin filing claims and objections until September 23. Delhi’s draft voter roll is set to leave out 32.8% of voters after SIR enumeration.
