Barapulla Phase-III traffic narrows to three lanes at Barapulla Junction

Delhi Traffic Police has advised motorists travelling from Noida Link Road and Mayur Vihar Phase-I towards Barapulla and Ring Road to use NH-24 or the DND instead.

Delhi Traffic Police are diverting Barapulla Phase-III traffic towards NH-24 and the DND at Barapulla Junction.

Motorists travelling from Mayur Vihar Phase-I and Noida Link Road towards Barapulla and Ring Road are being asked to avoid the Barapulla Phase-III Elevated Road and take NH-24 or the DND instead.

Delhi Traffic Police said congestion on the stretch was not appearing on Google Maps, leading more commuters to continue using it. Personnel have been deployed at Barapulla Junction, where traffic is moving slowly and diversions are being made towards NH-24 and the DND.

The bottleneck is the older Barapullah flyover, which has three lanes. It receives traffic from the newly opened Phase-III flyover on the Mayur Vihar side, the Sarai Kale Khan loop and the DND loop, each with about three lanes. Police said traffic from roughly eight or nine lanes converges into three at the junction.

Commuters travelling towards central Delhi can use NH-24 or the DND while police regulate traffic on the affected stretch.
